Community Child Health
YMCA WA has partnered with WACHS Pilbara Population Health to facilitate the provision of fly in/fly out (FIFO) child health clinics located at each of our Early Learning Centres in the Pilbara towns of Newman and Port Hedland and in the community of Paraburdoo, utilising the Pilbara Population Health infrastructure. The program works diligently to improve access to Community Child Health Services and to create a more flexible approach to service delivery in the remote Pilbara communities.
The Community Child Health Nurse is responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating quality community nursing care, consistent with a primary health care philosophy and relevant primary health programs to the communities they service. YMCA WA is extremely proud of this initiative and the partnership formed with WACHS Pilbara Population Health.
